About 25 kilometers from the finish, she attacked on the cobbles of Huisepontweg and overtook the leading duo, Reusser and Kraak. The Italian champion successfully completed her impressive solo effort. In the sprint of the chasing group, Lotte Kopecky edged out Elisa Balsamo.
