Who will be the successors of Marianne Vos and Matteo Jorgenson?
On Wednesday, April 2, Dwars door Vlaanderen is the final big test before the Tour of Flanders. Matteo Jorgenson, alongside Wout van Aert, defends his title against Pedersen, Milan, and Philipsen. In the women's race all eyes are on Vos, Kopecky, Longo Borghini, and Pieterse.
Roeselare once again serves as the backdrop for the start of the men's race. After the team presentation at the Stationsplein and the farewell to Jelle Wallays, who is embarking on a 15.000 km bike ride across Europe for Kom op tegen Kanker, the riders will set off at 12:25 for a 184 km journey featuring 10 climbs and 7 cobbled sectors. New this season is a second passage over Berg Ten Houte and the ascent of Eikenberg.
At 14:40 it is the women's turn. Their starting gun will sound at the HippoLoggia site in Waregem. They face a 128 km route featuring 7 climbs and 6 cobbled sectors. Both the men's and women's races will follow the traditional finale, including two passages over Nokereberg and Herlegemstraat, as well as a ride through the HippoLoggia fan zone, where fans can enjoy a packed programme.

Participants men
At the top of the provisional start list is Matteo Jorgenson, who last year became the first American winner of Dwars door Vlaanderen. The Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider will soon join forces with Wout van Aert and Dylan van Baarle, the 2021 winner. Lidl-Trek also has several strong contenders with Mads Pedersen, Jonathan Milan, and Jasper Stuyven. A third powerful lineup comes from UAE Team Emirates XRG, featuring Tim Wellens, Jhonatan Narváez, and Antonio Morgado.
Küng (Groupama - FDJ), Lazkano (Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe) and Powless (EF Education – EasyPost) know what it feels like to stand on the podium at Dwars door Vlaanderen. Additionally, we will welcome Girmay (Intermarché – Wanty), Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step), and Belgian champion De Lie (Lotto) in Roeselare.

Participants women
After finishing third in 2023, Marianne Vos (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) struck gold in Dwars door Vlaanderen last year. The Dutch rider is listed as number one on the provisional start list and will compete against Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx – Protime), as well as the duo Elisa Longo Borghini – Silvia Persico (UAE Team ADQ). Movistar Team also brings a star-studded lineup to Waregem: Marlen Reusser, Cat Ferguson, and Liane Lippert.
Shirin van Anrooij (Lidl-Trek) and Letizia Paternoster (Liv-AlUla-Jayco) joined Vos on the podium last year and will be part of the race again this year. Van Anrooij will have the speedy Elisa Balsamo alongside her. Additionally, we can look forward to Puck Pieterse and Julie De Wilde (Fenix-Deceuninck), who finished second in 2022, and the duo Zoe Bäckstedt – Chiara Consonni (Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto), the runner-up in 2023.
The final of the women's race can be followed live from 16:00 on the Proximus Pickx livestream.
